Spanish Team Gains Victory 1-0 in the Euro 2008 Finals Soccer TournamentPosted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesIf you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting! The long wait is worth it. Germany who won three Euros and three World Cup titles did not match the Spanish team during this final. Spain has never made a World Cup final and was in one other Euro final, aside from the 1964 triumph. That was a loss to France in 1984. For Fernando Torres who scored in the 33rd minute of the game said, it is the most significant day in Spanish history football in so many years. “We played the best for the entire tournament and we beat some great teams,” “We beat Italy, the World Cup champion, and we beat Russia and now Germany. That is how you become champion.” This is what Torres said. 51,428 people watch at Ernst Happel Stadium to witness this magnificent soccer tournament. The crowd is equally divided between Germany and Spain. Although the Spaniards are expected to go into a protective shell and without their leading scorer David Villa who recently had a leg injury, they continued to carry their attacks and were far more dangerous than the Germans u … Tags: Crowd, Ernst Happel Stadium, Euro 2008, Euro Soccer, Fernando Torres, Germans, Leading Scorer, Leg Injury, Long Wait, Protective Shell, Russia, Soccer Tournament, Spaniards, Spanish History, Spanish Team, Triumph, Victory, World Champion, World Cup Champion, World Cup Titles

Collecting Football Club BadgesPosted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesThere are many different kinds of football badges although most feature the clubs crest or team shirt colours in some way. Because of the huge number in existence, it is no surprise that fans have started collecting football club badges. Badges are sold outside the stadiums, in the club shop or via specialist internet websites. A football club will have its own range of badges which are sold in the official club merchandise shop but these are a relatively small number and only scratch the surface. Many supporters actually design their own and use specialist companies to produce them. A famous victory can also see a badge design quickly commissioned to celebrate it in style. An appearance in the final, a cup run or promotion can also lead to a range of commemorative badges. Football club badges are a relatively inexpensive item but they are one that will last for years. Many people enjoy collecting them and because of the number involved the activity is a rewarding one. There are proba … Tags: Appearance, Badge Design, Badges Football, Club Badges, Club Merchandise, Colours, Crest, Different Kinds, Existence, Fans Club, Football Badges, Football Club, Internet Websites, Many People, Merchandise Shop, Specialist Companies, Specialist Internet, Stadiums, Surprise, Victory

NCAA Football - Texas Wins Tostitos’ BowlPosted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesTexas had the No 1 ranking in the BSC Standings, but they lost it due to the defeat that they suffered against Texas Tech and later the Sooners finished as the Big 12 champions after they defeated Missouri for the title and earned a pass for the BCS National Championship. In the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, Texas had to face Ohio State and they tried to prove everyone that they were a good team and a possible squad to win the championship. And almost at the end of the game when everything seemed impossible and they were losing the game, Cosby caught a pass from quarter back Colt McCoy and run for 26 yards to convert a touchdown with only 16 left seconds in the clock, giving Texas a victory of 24-21 over the Buckeyes. “We knew with the pride they’ve got and the tough games they’ve had in the BCS, they’d come in here and play tough and play great,” Texas coach Mack Brown said about Ohio State “There were two minutes and five seconds left and we had two timeouts,” He added. “For our offense, th … Tags: Bcs National Championship, Bsc Standings, Buckeyes, Coach Mack Brown, Colt Mccoy, Fiesta Bowl, Fiesta Texas, Ncaa, Ncaa Football, Ohio State, Pride, Sooners, Texas Coach, Texas Tech, Timeouts, Tostitos Bowl, Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, Touchdown, Two Minutes, Victory

Carolina Panthers Vs Chicago BearsPosted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesThroughout all of that, the teams that overcome that kind of adversity are the teams that are going to win. The Panthers overcame about as much adversity as a team could in their 20-17 home-opening victory over the Bears last Sunday September 14th. As much determination as the Panthers demonstrated a week ago, winning their season-opener at San Diego on a last-second touchdown pass from Jake Delhomme to Dante Rosario, they managed to dig out of an even deeper hole to improve their record to 2-0. On Sunday, the Panthers battled back from a wicked first half filled with penalties and other mixed mistakes, including allowing a punt to be blocked and returned for the game’s first touchdown to help the Bears to a 10-3 halftime lead (which would grow to 17-3 early in the third quarter). This is not to deceit the Bears. They opened the season with a convincing win over the Colts at Indianapolis. They have an impressive rookie running back in Matt Forte, who rushed for a game-high 92 yards Su … Tags: Adversity, Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Colts, Dante Rosario, Deceit, Game, Indianapolis, Jake Delhomme, Last Sunday, Punt, San Diego, Season Opener, Touchdown Pass, Victory |
