The Truth About Strength Training Shoes - Will Strength Training Shoes Help You Jump Higher?Posted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesThe question here is, are they enough to help you jump higher? You can wear them while performing various exercises like rope skipping, jumping, running, hopping or even during polymetric exercises. They will increase your explosive power and speed. Let us take a quick look at why these shoes are supposed to be so special. Strength training shoes have been scientifically engineered to increase your overall training performance. They are designed with 4 centimeter (1.6 inch) rubber soles attached to the front half of the shoes. This hard rubber platform will prevent your heels from hitting the ground directly. Because your heels stay of the ground, you will exercise your calf muscles a lot harder. Your feet will basically turn into extended levers. Just think of your legs as levers while you are running and jumping. If one end of the lever becomes longer, the force applied at the other end must be increased (as in your calf muscles) to make the same movement. If you are serious about i … Tags: Calf Muscles, Centimeter, Exercise, Explosive Power, Feet, Hard Rubber, Hitting The Ground, Inch Rubber, Legs, Levers, Platform Heels, Polymetric Exercises, Rope, Rubber Platform, Rubber Soles, Running, Strength Shoes, Strength Training Shoes, Truth About

Sharpening Collegiate American Football Quarterback HabitsPosted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesOne not so perfect scenario is a low passed catch. Here are some basics to a great low catch. This ensures that the ball will not slip through your fingers. Locking your pinkies prevents the football from falling through your hands. Once you have the football in your hands scoop it up and tuck it away. Use your hands and not your body. Keep your eyes right on the ball. And always see the ball through, meaning that you are watching it into the tuck. Making a great hand off Learning the basics in a handoff is essential to a strong offense. The hand off can take place in many ways, but most if not all handoffs occur between the quarterback and the running back. The running back starts the hand off running towards the quarterback with his arms open creating a pocket for the quarterback to slide the football right into the running back’s chest. When the running back receives the football he clamps down both arms hard on the football to protect it. Now that the running back has the ball whe … Tags: American Football, Clamps, Fingers, Football Quarterback, Handoff, Pinkies, Running

2008 Capital One Bowl - Showcase Bowl Turns Into a Yawner As Georgia Tips Michigan State, 24-12Posted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesUnfortunately, what could have been a great game became a yawner with the Spartans on the losing end, 24-12, New Year’s Day (1-1-09). Mark Dantonio’s Michigan State players led 6-3 at the half, not because of a tremendous defensive effort but because the Spartans could not block for their star running back Javon Ringer. MSU’s offensive line play was horrid and never improved. Ringer went nowhere about 1,000 miles an hour (47 yards on 20 carries). He did, however, score another touchdown, giving him a school-record 22 on the season. Georgia’s star running back, Knowshon Moreno went nowhere as well (62 yards on 23 carries). So much for the big time running match-up. Moreno, a sophomore is already talking about going pro. Georgia’s star quarterback, junior Matthew Stafford, did not play well in the first half but did eventually complete 20-of-31 for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns. After the game he was busy talking about whether he would enter the NFL Draft or not. Spartan QB Brian Hoyer, a … Tags: Big Time, Capital One, Capital One Bowl, Defensive Effort, Great Game, Mark Dantonio, Match, Michigan State, New Year, Nfl Draft, Offensive Line Play, Qb, Ringer, Running, Showcase, Sophomore, Spartan, Spartans, Star Quarterback, Touchdown
