Meanwhile, while Alabama’s football team has won 12 national championships, their basketball team is consistently under the radar. However, some NCAA schools have excelled in both football and basketball. Here are some prime examples: 1. Cincinnati Bearcats The Bearcats’ football team has not only played in 10 bowl games; it has a winning record of 6-4 in those bowls, and has won the last three of them. Cincinnati has appeared in the Sun Bowl twice, the Motor City Bowl twice, and most recently, in the PapaJohns.com Bowl. Meanwhile, the Bearcats’ basketball team has also achieved success. The team has appeared in the NCAA mens basketball tournament 24 times. Those trips to the tournament included two national championships for the Cincinnati Bearcats (1961, 1962), and one loss in the championship game (1963). 2. Florida Gators The Gators football team, for which the sports drink Gatorade was named, has won two national championships. During the 1996-1997 season, past Florida QB Steve S …

Between OU edging out Texas for the Big 12 championship spot, to earlier in the season when it was likely Penn State would get in with an easy schedule and people would watch another blowout of a Big 10 team. I have heard bloggers and sites calling for a 16 team playoff system and others calling for a 8 team playoff. The sixteen team playoff scenario seems way too unlikely to me. For starters, you would have to play four post season games instead of 3. You would definitely have to subtract a game or two from the regular season to decrease injuries and players playing way past January. Another issues is you would be putting teams like Ball State, Georgia Tech and TCU in there, who would generally get blown out every year by the USC’s and Florida like teams of the NCAA. Yes there are those who would say “there could be Cinderella teams” the “underdogs” like in NCAA basketball. Yes it is somewhat possible, but the recruiting gaps in football or a lot more severe than in basketball. Teams …

A lot of these games are terrible - but they know it -so there is a certain amount of cheesy fun to be had from curling shots round an ever widening wall as the difficulty increases. Gamers and football fans though are increasingly looking to the net to provide higher quality football games either 3D console format games or football manager downloads. Now the net is not sentient and cannot respond directly to these searches but the people who use it are. Well most of them are sentient but this author suspects that an alarmingly large number of users are scoring very low on the Glasgow Coma scale. The FIFA series and Championship (Football) Manager games are probably the best known and used football games in the business at the moment and this has been the case for over 10 years. You may thus say “It is therefore, my dear fellow, high time that the web designers got off their lazy updating backsides and invented something new” and you would be right. There are only so many updates you …
