Who Will Be the Next Manager of Manchester United?Posted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesAt the moment many see Martin O’Neill as the favourite to take over from Sir Alex however I have a hunch for a person who thus far has not even been mentioned for the position. No one can argue that Sir Alex Ferguson has performed supremely well since becoming the manager of what many consider to be the best football team in the world, Manchester United. It will be very hard for whoever takes over from Sir Alex to fill his shoes as they say. There are numerous foreign managers who, as usual, will be in contention for the role. I would hope that an English manager could be appointed and have a strong feeling that the son of Sir Alex, Darren Ferguson, could have a great chance. Yes I know what your thinking, that I am a little crazy, but lets look at the facts. Both Sir Alex and Darren were not the best of players but did reach a fairly high standard, Darren is likely to have learnt a lot from his father, Darren is doing supremely well with Peterborough United, the team he currently man … Tags: Alex Ferguson, Best Football, Contention, Football Team, Foreign Managers, Hunch, Manchester United, Martin O Neill, Peterborough United, Shoes, Sir Alex Ferguson, Strong Feeling

English Premier Football League Game Week 22 Match Preview - Part 1Posted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesThis see’s Sam Allaydace former team come to Blackburn. Newcastle are in poor form this season. A number of players are rumoured to be leaving St James Park. Shay Given has been the one exception, his saves alone managed to keep Liverpool at bay, and for that Arsenal have been altered to his goal keeping prowess. Blackburn have picked up a few points since Ince was sacked earlier on. With Santa Cruz rumoured as wanting to join Hughes at City, his goals will be needed this weekend if Blackburn are to get anything from the game. Game Prediction: Draw 1:1 Bolton v Manchester United Bolton Wanderers lost their previous league game away against Arsenal and only won once in their last six games. They have lost five games in the last six. They have only managed to score 4 times in this period. Bolton have been linked to Jamie Bullard from Fulham but as yet have not been able to meet the asking price. Manchester United won their last game 1-0 at home against Wigan, and are the leagues in form … Tags: Asking Price, Blackburn, Bolton Wanderers, Bullard, English Premier Football League, Five Games, Former Team, Fulham, Game 1, Game Game, James Park, Last Game, League Game, Manchester United, Prowess, Santa Cruz, Shay, Six Games, St James Park, Wigan

Manchester United Pile on the PressurePosted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesIn possibly the penultimate season of Sir Alex Fergerson managerial career, he will look to equal Liverpool’s record in the English Top Football decision. With 17 league championships Man U are only 1 behind current League leaders Liverpool who have 18. This is going to be the most challenging season for Manchester United. With Liverpool intent on dropping points to Stoke, Fulham and Tottenham they will be smarting from losing their poll position they have worked so hard to obtain. Chelsea look like a spent force, unless there is a dramatic turnaround in the fortunes of big Phil at Stamford Bridge, he is next on my firing list after Tony Adams and Mark Hughes. The way Chelsea turned out in the second half proved to be their undoing. Instead of keeping it tight, he brought on the sulk - Anelka. Yes, they went down to a sloppy goal from a corner, but Phil has to take the share in the blame for the way Man U cut them open 2 more times after the break. Jose said it well in a interview. “I … Tags: Anelka, Break, Chelsea, Dramatic Turnaround, English Football, Fortunes, Fulham, League Championships, League Leaders, Liverpool, Managerial Career, Manchester United, Mark Hughes, Poll Position, Second Half, Sir Alex, Stamford Bridge, Tight, Undoing

English Premier League - Manchester United on a RampagePosted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesAfter beating Chelsea Football club 3-0 in one of last Sunday football results, United played one of their matches they have on hand and finally recorded the win after Wayne Rooney scored in a tap in from a Cristiano Ronaldo assist at the first minute. Wigan tried to look for the tying goal throughout the match but failed to breakdown the United defense which surprisingly, held its own despite the absence of central defender Rio Ferdinand who continues to suffer from a back injury, defender Wes Brown who still has two weeks to go before he gets back to the side after ankle surgery and left back Patrice Evra, who suffered a foot injury right after the match against Chelsea and has been ruled out of future United games for three weeks. He actually injured his foot when he delivered the cross that Rooney turned into a goal. It was such an unfortunate stroke of luck for Evra who just returned to the side after being suspended for four games for his participation in an incident after a mat … Tags: Ankle Surgery, Back Injury, Central Defender, Chelsea Football Club, Club 3, English Premier League, Foot Injury, Football Results, Four Games, Last Sunday, Manchester United, Patrice Evra, Rampage, Rio Ferdinand, Ronaldo, Stroke Of Luck, United Defense, United Games, Wayne Rooney, Wes Brown

The World Calls it Football, the United States Soccer - It is the World’s Greatest GamePosted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesSometimes it happens in the school playground where we like the colour of a shirt (although this reason totally baffles me). Other times it is because we like to support the underdog. For me the choice of football team to support was easy. I was born in Davyhulme, grew up in Swinton, now part of Salford near Manchester, and went to a school where 90% of the boys were Manchester United fans. I know this will dispel the popular myth that people in Manchester don’t support United but who cares. As Mancunians we know the truth. I’ve been in life threatening situations, I’ve been carried away with immense emotion and I’ve screamed my lungs out so hard that my voice was left to the football God’s for days before slowly and painfully crawling its’ way back. I’ve witnessed decades where rivals have gloated over success while we continued to flatter to deceive. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried and I’ve fallen out with friends and family alike. Whatever the reason that you support your team; there is n … Tags: Decades, Emotion, Fans, Football Soccer, Football Team, Friends And Family, God, Greatest Game, Lungs, Manchester United, Myth, Reason, Rivals, Salford, School Playground, Soccer World, Truth, Underdog, United States, World Game

Cristiano Ronaldo Pictures an Even Better Season at Manchester UnitedPosted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesIt was believed by many that the Porugal international midfield maestro would be off on his way to Spain’s La Liga, where Real Madrid were expected to be Ronaldo’s third club. Cristiano Ronaldo ended all speculation by stating in a press-conference that he wants to stay with Manchester United, and that he is very happy living in Manchester. It is definitely believed that Ronaldo will go to Madrid in the future, but for now he will have at least one more sseason with United in England. Most people also believe that this will be his last season at Man Utd, with Real Madrid apparently still desperate to sign the young star. Reassuringly to Manchester United’s huge fanbase, Cristiano has gone on and reportedly stated that he sees the next season as being a huge one in the clubs history, and with the likes of Berbatov joining the club he feels that the team can go on to get even more success then last season, perhaps even by claiming another treble - matching the feat made by Sir Alex Ferg … Tags: Berbatov, Club Cristiano, Cristiano Ronaldo Pictures, England, Ferg, Maestro, Man Utd, Manchester United, Midfield, Porugal, Real Madrid, Ronaldo, Sir Alex, Spain, Speculation, Success, TrebleInteresting Websites : |
