The manager of Argentinian national soccer team, Diego Armando Maradona, watched the game at Camp Nou where the hosts defeated Mallorca 3-1. The next day he visited training facilities and had a brief conversation with Pep Guardiola, the Barcelona coach. During his stay he observed the training and spoke to the team addressing them with few words. He also talked to members of the staff about the current topics surrounding the Spanish La Liga. Purpose of Maradona visit was namely to to talk in person with his compatriot Leo Messi, which was ommited from the squad due to arriving late for training after the problems with the airline.
