Walk up and down the lines as the players crouch into their stances. Correct any players that are not in the correct position. This is one of the most important, basic football skills needed. Quick Hit Drill: The Quick Hit drill helps team members, such as the blocking backs and linemen, in quickly moving from the Ready Stance into a blocking position. Youth football drills, such as this one, are basic to the game. The players will make a circle and stand in their Ready Stance. On your command, the players will pop into a pass protection position, take a quick step with the outside foot, and assume the squat position ready to strike a blow.
