Youth Football Speed Development - The Dot DrillPosted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesThe Dot Drill One of the most effective and common plyometric drill is the dot drill. It usually consists of a mat that has dots on it configured in a box with a dot at each corner of the box and one in the middle. The size of the box varies to the age and ability levels of the participants. There are a variety of drills you can do including just starting with your left foot to the near left corner dot of the box, your right foot on the near right corner dot and then bringing both feet to the center dot on a hop, then hop with the left foot touching the rear left dot, right foot on far right dot. Then coming back to the center with both feet, then back to the starting position and repeat. The goal is quickness, short bent knee hops with good form landings and don’t forget to use your arms. You don’t want to do any of these for more than 7 seconds as our goal is to simulate the duration of the typical youth football play which is 6-7 seconds. Football Steward - Get Paid Attending Football MatchesPosted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesThe advantage is to those who may not like football is it gives you a chance of turning you back on the game and get paid to do it. The pay when I did the job was crap! I worked out that after travelling time and costs and the duration spent on task I ended up earning something like 50p an hour! Needless to say I gave it up after about a year and a half, as it just didn’t pay enough. The rates of pay have gone up since and if you live close to the ground you time and travel overheads will be reduced. Everyone has a local football team, the best way to get the job is to know someone who is already a steward, they can recommend you and you are almost certain to be in with a good shout. There is always going to be a turn over of staff in this field of work so it is just a matter of time before a vacancy comes up but it is not usually advertised. Like I said most comes from referring, almost like keeping it in the family.
