Florida State Seminoles College Football TicketsPosted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesDespite the 42-year hiatus in collegiate football, FSU’s passion for the sport has not diminished throughout that time. This enthusiasm has been reflected in the team’s performance as one of the top teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference. (ACC) Named after the Florida-based American Indian tribe, the Seminoles have been playing at the Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium, located at the FSU campus in Tallahassee, Florida. Nicknamed “The Doak,” the stadium was named after former FSU president Doak Campbell. The stadium field was named after Bobby Bowden, longtime (and current) coach of the Seminoles who is legendary in his own right as he steered the team to a number of memorable victories throughout his 32-year career. It is also interesting to note that this stadium is also the largest among all the football stadiums used by the ACC member schools. Important Moments And Accomplishments Over the years, the Florida State Seminoles has garnered an impressive number of championshi … Tags: American Indian Tribe, Atlantic Coast Conference, Bobby Bowden Field, Coach, College Football Tickets, Collegiate Football, Doak Campbell Stadium, Florida Seminoles, Florida State Seminoles, Football Stadiums, Fsu Campus, Hiatus, Impressive Number, Member Schools, Passion, Tallahassee Florida

Fundametals of Coaching Youth FootballPosted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesYou should also seek out books on coaching football, attend football clinics, watch football games on TV and talk to other coaches with more experience. Search out information through as many sources as you can. 2) Character - If you want your players to carry themselves with a high moral code, you need to show them the way. You must show them what a true role model is. How do you do this? Start by being consistent. When you say you’re going to do something, be sure you follow through with it. Be sure your team always sees you under control no matter the situation. Show your team that any situation can be handled by staying in control of your emotions. That doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice any of your fire or intensity. It just means handling all the things that come up in practice and games without flying off the handle. If the coach can’t show character, how can the players be expected to? Character is also shown when you can admit you’re wrong when you make mistakes. Your team wi … Tags: Books, Coach, Coaching Clinics, Coaching Football, Coaching Youth Football, Control, Emotions, Football Clinics, Football Games, Intensity, Moral Code, Sacrifice, True Role Model, Watch Tv

Notre Dame Football Team and Why They Lost Against North CarolinaPosted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesThey lost for the same reason they tried to blow the game against Stanford. Here is my evaluation of the games. The first thing that went wrong started against Stanford when Notre Dame had a 3 touchdown lead. This was in the third quarter and instead of putting up a couple more touchdowns and closing the game out they decided to become a shell of an offense and be conservative. They also became conservative on Defense allowing Stanford to come back and only lose by a touchdown. Instead they should have kept being aggressive and scoring points. One more touchdown would have closed it out for good. Also, it did not help that a highly talented high school kicker recruited by Notre Dame missed two field goals in the game and was 1 for 7 at the end of the game. Now against North Carolina it was a lot of the same, but still a bit different. Clausen made a huge mistake, but the coach should have seen that this would happen and called a different play. Notre Dame was up 17 to 9 at the beginni … Tags: Blow, Clausen, Coach, Field Goals, Football Team, Game, Games, Kicker, Lost, Mistake, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Notre Dame Football, Reason, Shell, Stanford, Touchdown

Advancing Middle School American Football Quarter Back TipsPosted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesThe second point is making sure that your forearm is wrapped tightly on the outer rim of the football. Third point is to have the ball held tight against the bicep to prevent defenders from punching up through from behind. Fourth, pull the football up and tight against your ribcage closing the gap on the football from all four sides. As a player, you will want to make sure that you are well practiced in this skill, and as a coach you should dedicate some time to ball carrying skills. As your ball carrying continues to improve you will insure less turnovers and greater success on the field. Hand off drill Because hand offs are such a vital part of a running offense, running backs should practice hand off skills every day. A simple drill for a hand off is to line up all of your running backs in two lines facing each other in what we will call line A and Line B. At the coaches signal player A leaves line A running with the football towards line B. In sync with that first player, a second … Tags: American Football, Bicep, Closing The Gap, Coach, Football Line, Football Tips, Forearm, Gap, Outer Rim, Quarter Back, Ribcage, Running Backs, Sync, Tight

Improving Elementary American Football Players RoutinesPosted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesThis drill consists of having players run in place as fast and as hard as they can. Then at random a coach will yell, “down” or blow a whistle at which the players must dive to the ground do a push up and then jump back into running in place. Because this drill can be very taxing, it is important to increase the time spent at this slowly over time as the player’s strength increases. Football tackling 101 Tackling is fundamental to football, and should receive proper attention at practices. If executed poorly not only will you not succeed in stopping the offensive team, but you could possibly injure yourself in the process. Here are three important steps to practice: First, plant yourself in front of your opponent. Plant your cleats in the grass squarely in front and in the middle, bisecting the player in half. Also, and in coordination with your feet throw your arms back preparing to grab. Second, push your other foot keeping your knees low and bent, and in sync with your feet throw y … Tags: American Football Players, Cleats, Coach, Coordination, Grass, Knees, Offensive Team, Opponent, Proper Attention, Running In Place, Strength Increases, Sync, Whistle

A team I consult with had a weekend tournament, with games scheduled on Saturday and Sunday at 8 am. During the Saturday game, the team got behind 2-0 within the first 15 minutes before playing to an even draw the remainder of the game. The coach knew the players were sluggish and were not properly prepared to play early on. The next day’s early morning game was different. The team reported to the field early to perform a long thorough warm-up. The result from this strategy was an early 2-0 lead within the first 5 minutes while playing to an even draw the remaining time. The important take away point from this story is how the performed as a result of their warm-ups. The first game warm-up was done by the players, who were very social. The did a light jog and some static stretching and followed with some more dynamic stretching before the game. None of the players had even broken a sweat! The second game was m … Tags: 15 Minutes, Coach, First 5 Minutes, First Game, Games, Jog, Lead, Remainder, Remaining Time, Saturday And Sunday, Second Game, Soccer, Sweat, Ups, Warm Ups, Weekend Tournament

Greatest Super Bowl CommercialsPosted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesIt s not about which coach is submerged in a Gatorade bath. It s about one thing, and one thing only: the commercials. Without the commercials, the TV airing the Super Bowl may as well be turned off, or worse, turned to Lifetime. Super Bowl commercials are expensive to air; a thirty second spot in last year s game cost 2.5 million. This makes them great: advertisers don t want to waste their money so they burn more midnight oil, flow more creative juices, and order much more Thai food for those office all-nighters. Some of these advertisers succeed with brilliant commercials, others leave us scratching our heads and asking, Seriously? The good, the bad, and the ugly all find a way into our television sets on Super Bowl Sunday. The following is a list of five of the best commercials generated over the years. Apple 1984 : A commercial that aired in, well, 1984, this Apple commercial is still revered as one of the greatest of all time. A parody of George Orwell s novel about a man l … Tags: 5 Million, Advertisers, Apple 1984, Coach, Creative Juices, Game, George Orwell, Greatest Of All Time, Lifetime, Midnight Oil, Money, Novel, Oil Flow, Parody, Super Bowl, Super Bowl Commercials, Television Sets, Thai Food

Portugal Football Team - Get the Latest About Euro Cup and World CupPosted by: Mr.Football in Football Sites and The Best ArticlesThe team got its greatest performance in 1966 in England when they managed to qualify for the final tournament, in a semifinal, when they were defeated by England. We have to mention that England obtained the title that year. They were leaded by Eusebio, a legendary football player and they managed to defeat Brazil with nil to three and defeated North Chorea with 5 to 3. That year Portugal was the third football team in the world and Eusebio was considered the best player of the tournament. Now, in 2008, the Turkish coach, Fatih Terim, has declared that he has been disappointed at the result obtained in the match with Portugal, in which his trainees have lost with a score of two to nil. He said that at a moment, they were equal in the first half and the Portuguese had moments of weakness as well, but the first goal did change the match. Portugal is one of the best football teams in Europe and the result of this game has confirmed it. In order to show their sympathy for the Portuguese … Tags: Best Football, Best Player, Brazil, Coach, England, Euro Cup, Europe, Football Player, Football Teams, Game, Match, Moments Of Weakness, Portugal Football Team, Portuguese, Score, Sympathy, Terim, Trainees, World CupThe Catalan player renewed his contract, which now expires in 2014, and is looking to brake records in appearances in Blaugrana shirt. Some believed it was unnecessary for his home club to offer him such a lengthy extension but any Barca fan will surely be pleased to see this player retire at the same place where he made his first footsteps. Player himself spoke recently about his feat but stayed modest in his words: “A symbol of the club’s history? Maybe I`ll start to think about these things when I retire. Because now, I’m just concentrated on winning more titles with the club” First cap for Xavi came more than 10 years ago when Barca former manager, Louis van Gaal, gave him a chance vs. Mallorca when injuries of todays coach, Pep Guardiola, and Albert Celades prompted his debut. “I just thought about winning,” Xavi recalls. Since then, began a brilliant career that saw him play in 299 matches and overtake the legends such as Joan Segarra and Juan Asensi In his 10 years with FC Barc … Tags: 10 Years, Albert Celades, Barc, Breaking Records, Brilliant Career, Catalan, Coach, Debut, First Cap, Footsteps, Legends, Louis Van Gaal, Pep Guardiola, Recalls, Segarra, Xavi
